New Guinea impatiens were introduced in the U.S. in the 1970's and are a popular annual. They are often seen in planters and beds at many commercial establishments. These were in planters around the pool deck at the
Westin Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale. I liked the color and slight luminescence of these blooms in the morning light. Canon G10, 1/2000 sec @ f/3.5, ISO 200 in macro mode.
