Day 3 - Frick & Frack

Frick and Frack a.k.a. Sasha & Sherlock in a rare awake moment in the middle of the afternoon.

Cat House

Even the Lambert's Point feral cat colony house is getting in on Skull Week action. Fully decorated for Halloween and proudly displaying the skull and crossbones with the "Enter If You Dare!" message. The decorations went up a couple of weeks ago and initially included some fake crows. Unfortunately the residents didn't take too kindly to the black birds hanging around and finished 'em off pretty quickly.

Sleepy Buddy

One nice thing about having a pet is that they are always happy to see you. After a stressful day Sherlock was napping on my lap. He was just what the doctor ordered, bringing my blood pressure down nicely. You can catch his sister Sasha napping on the chair in the background. iPhone 4, 1/15 sec @ f/2.8, ISO 1000.

Bug Boy

- My grandson Robert showing off his dragonfly outfit for insect day at preschool. Our cat Sherlock is not too sure what to make of a bug this big. Canon G1X, 1/30sec @ f/2.8, ISO 800.

Double Trouble

- Double the trouble, double the fun; two Tonkinese are better than one. Princess Sasha on the left and Lord Sherlock on the right. Canon 7D, 1/25 sec @ f/3.5, ISO 800, 85mm focal length.

Lazy Day

- Sunday morning is read the paper in bed day. The cats always join us for the lazy morning. Sherlock wasn't ready to get up and stayed in bed under the sheets for about an hour after we got going. Canon 40D, 1/15 sec @ f/3.2, ISO 800, 100mm lens.

Kitty Pop, Pop-Pop

- Sasha and Sherlock were fascinated by the popcorn popper. They didn't move the entire time it was popping. iPhone 4, 1/15 sec @ f/2.8, ISO 320. Camera+ app using 4×3, crop, depth of field - SFX and thin white border.

Lock-in-a-box

- Sherlock loves a box. Anytime you open one or leave one sitting around he'll be in it. This morning he decided this filing box was the perfect spot from which to keep an eye on his domain. Canon 40D, 1/30 sec @ f/5.6, ISO 400, 100mm lens.

Pretty Boy Blue

- This is Sebastian my cousin Lin's blue tonkinese kitten. Approaching five months old he just gets prettier and prettier or should I say more handsome everyday. He has an amazing social personality and never meets a stranger. I took this picture through a glass window as we were outside in the garden and he was watching every move. Canon 7D, 1/100 sec @ f/4.5, ISO 1600,100mm macro, LED micro Litelpanel.

Hide and Seek

- Sherlock just loves the laundry bag from the dry cleaners. Any time I pull it out, I know I'll find him hiding in there. He has not figured out that's it not a good hiding place. Canon 40D, 1/15 sec @ f/4.5, 100mm.
