Supermoon
With a forecast for rain tomorrow night, I headed to East Beach Norfolk to take some Supermoon pictures. I wanted to get an interesting foreground to help add some scale to size of the moon. Canon 7D Mark II, 1/40sec @ f/13, ISO 200, 400mm focal length.

Cuauhtémoc
- Cuauhtémoc was the last Aztec Emperor who was captured and executed by the Spanish in 1525. His name means "One That Has Descended Like an Eagle." Cuauhtémoc and the eagle are reflected in this figurehead on the Mexican Navy tall ship which bears his name. Illuminated by facing west into the setting sun, the gold plated figure glows with determination. Canon 7D, 1/160 sec @ f/8.0, ISO 400.

Anchors Aweigh
The massive port side anchor of the battleship USS Wisconsin. The ship's two anchors, port and starboard bow, each weigh 30,000 pounds. Canon G1X, 1/250 sec @ f/8.0, ISO 200, converted to black & white in Lightroom 4 with Silver Efex Pro 2 plug-in.
