Encore

This a close up of a portion of the new sculpture entitled "Encore" by world famous sculptor Rodney Carroll. The art work was dedicated last month at the Main Street entrance to the Selden Arcade home to Norfolk Virginia's d'Art Center. Canon G15, 1/60 sec @ f/8.0, ISO 125.

Spoon

- The spoon as wall art? This is a big spoon, about 4 foot long. They are used in the Skinny Dip frozen yogurt stores usually hanging on a bright green or purple wall. iPhone 4,1/15 sec @ f/2.8, ISO 200, Camera+ app.

Coca-Cola Freestyle

- The Coca-Cola Freestyle machine features over 100 different Coca-Cola drink products and custom flavors. The machine allows users to select from mixtures of flavors of Coca-Cola branded products which are then individually dispensed. The cabinetry was designed by the Italian automotive design firm Pininfarina whose current automobile designs includes the amazing Ferrari 458 Italia. Spoon

- This is actually a really big spoon, about four foot long hung on the wall at the Skinny Dip Frozen Yogurt store on Colley Avenue in Norfolk Virginia's Ghent neighborhood. The sense of scale is completely lost with no visual reference point in the photo. Droid X using the Vignette app.

Curves

- Today's photo is of some smooth stainless steel curves on on lamp in our house. Post processed with Silver Efex Pro 2 to have a Holga like effect. Canon 40D, 1/320 sec @ f/5.6, ISO 800.

Fixtures

- Another picture in my series of cool plumbing fixtures. This is a great shower - bold colored subway style ceramic tile, a glass block window and an awesome shower head. Canon G11, 1/640 sec @ f/3.5, ISO 400.

Bold Look

Today's project, install a new bathroom faucet. I ordered this new Kohler Alteo in brushed nickel a few weeks ago from FaucetDirect.com and installed it today in the master bath. I like "the bold look of Kohler" products. They are well engineered and the installation was very straight forward. Looks nice with our retro 1960 turquoise ceramic tile don't you think? Stainless

- This stainless steel panel is located on the front of the Dog 'n' Burger on Manteo Avenue in Norfolk Virginia. Today's sunshine and blue sky help to make this reflective photo interesting. I bet most people just walk by the little architectural detail without a second glance. Canon G11, 1/400 sec @ f/5.6, ISO 100.
