Triple Rainbow
A passing rain shower just before sunset resulted in these three rainbows. I took the photo on the deck at Bubba's Seafood Restaurant and Crabhouse in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The seafood is good at Bubba's but the view is outstanding, a must see place for dinner in Virginia Beach. Canon G15, 1/100 sec @ f/8.0, ISO 200.

Sand Man
Paid a visit to the Virginia Beach Ocenafront to see the results of the North American Sandsculpting Championship held as part of this year's Neptune Festival. There are 22 sand sculptures on view through Sunday October 10th. This is a closeup from the 3rd place doubles team of Jill Harris and Thomas Koet from Florida entitled In One Ear Out the Other. It's worth the trip and the three bucks ticket charge to see these cool creations. Canon 5D Mark II, 1/60 sec @ f/5.0, ISO 200, zoom at 165mm.

Worker Bee
The bees were mighty busy at the Hampton Roads Agricultural Research and Extension Center off Diamond Springs Road in Virginia Beach. The demonstration garden here is one of Hampton Roads best kept secrets. Need some tine to think or unwind, stop by for a walk in the gardens. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Canon 7D, 1/160 sec @ f/8.0, ISO 100, 100mm macro lens.

Swallowtail
This swallowtail butterfly was photographed at Virginia Tech's Hampton Roads Agricultural Research and Extension Center off Diamond Springs Road in Virginia Beach. This garden is one of the area's best kept secrets. Home to acres of plantings the garden was a buzz with, butterfies, bees and dragonflies. It's well worth a trip.
